Stitch Guide for Ann Hansen 2014 Limited Edition Santa

Carolyn Hedge Baird is writing a stitch guide for the 2014 Limited Edition Santa that Barbara's Needlepoint releases each year.  These are designed by Ann Hanson, and when they are gone--they are not repainted.  This year's Santa is dressed in gold and ivory and carries a floral bead wreath.  Contact Barbara's Needlepoint in Souix Falls, South Dakota for more information.

Guides for No Name Chicken UPDATED

No Name Chicken, Courtesy of Fireside
Canvas Works has a design of a white rooster that is mostly feathers called the No Name Chicken.  It has been quite popular and folks are always looking for guides for it.  I'm told that Fireside Stitchery has a guide.  I don't know if it is one of the guides they write if you buy a canvas and threads or if they already have it written.  Search on "no name chicken" for information about the canvas.

I'm also told Tony Minieri has written a guide for this piece that uses ribbon for the coxcomb.  You will need to contact him through Edwardian Needle.

Many thanks to the kind people on the ANG email list for all these answers!

UPDATE:  Robin King will have a guide for the No Name Chicken canvas in mid-September 2014.  Thanks for reminding me to update this, Kirsten!

When the Snow Outside is Frightful! UPDATED

When the snow outside is frightful (as in three inches of snow that the overnight temperatures of 11 turned to ice), we should all play in the snow.  If you hate being cold (or long for cold winters because you are living in Miami heat), then team up with Brenda Hart and stitch "Candy Rush" from Ewe and Eye.  It'll warm your heart, even if it won't warm your toes.

Look at all those textures and beads!  If this is a must have, canvases are on order at Bedecked and Beadazzled and you can pick up Brenda's stitch guide there as well.

UPDATE:  Ruth has added Melissa Shirley's Birdhouse at the Beach as well, complete with a Brenda Hart stitch guide.
